Many think you can only read it in a college course, but not so! <br /><br />His writing is so lyrical and rich and gorgeous that you're easily and comfortably drawn in more than you might expect. And the stories themselves are timeless classics. <br /><br />This is one of my favorites--the soliloquies are beautiful and thought provoking and address the balance of justice and mercy. It's not terribly dark (it is, after all, considered a comedy), but still has some elements. <br /><br />I've read this one several times and it's interesting to me how differently I regard the characters with every reading.
