I am not one to reread books when there are so many great books to read in general. But this one? What a great reread!
ReplyDeleteI could read this again and again and again. And every time, I can feel the same nervousness as Scout and Jem approach or walk by Boo Radley's house. I can giggle at Scout's feisty tenacity and strong will.
I can warm again to Atticus as a father figure and role model. I marvel and am continually awestruck at how his wisdom is more than half a century ahead of its time. And people still don't get it, do they?
And Harper Lee? I never cease to wonder at her gift. I admire her for telling her story and calling it good, even if that has the world wanting more.
